It is becoming evident that Hanley Ramirez would rather be traded from the Miami Marlins instead of changing positions in lieu of Jose Reyes. This may be good news for Detroit, because Miguel Cabrera has been working out with him recently.

The Detroit Tigers certainly aren’t keeping it a secret that its in the market for a second basemen.
The team has shown interest in Martin Prado, Kelly Johnson and now, it is reportedly interested in Angels second baseman Macier Izturis. Izturis won’t hit 30-plus home runs or knock in 100-RBIs, but he can make an impact.
